NEEDED: SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR for a leading INSURANCE BROKERAGE company in Lebanon.

  • Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks.
  • Ensure that technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Daily tasks may include end-user support, and maintain the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, network connectivity, email, and laptops.

Min Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field
  • Minimum 3 years of system administration & network administration experience
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  •  Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus

Skills Required

  • Working knowledge of virtualization
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Active Directory including managing and maintaining GPOs
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Experience with SQL databases, and patch management
  • Knowledge in Kubernetes and Docker for virtualization
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as: DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP
  • Knowledge of Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting
  • Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client trouble shooting
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Providing technical support when requested
  • Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system.
  • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  • Securing data from unauthorized access
  • Perform regular backup/restore operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Design and deploy networks; Maintain network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways
  • Administer servers, laptops, printers, phones, software deployment, and patches
  • Administer network infrastructure (Firewall, Switches & Access Points)
  • Administer Surveillance System (NVR, IP Cams)
  • Maintain & monitor all security software & devices (firewall, antivirus, anti-spam…)
